Oumou Camara 32 and Fatoumata Sall 29 are two nurses by training. The first was born in Paris and the second in Strasbourg, they founded in Mali, their country of origin, Santé Mobile, a home care service located in the Malian capital, Bamako. The concept was born last May and is already present in the six districts of Bamako. Santé Mobile is a medical care service that covers the entire health needs of local populations, wherever and whenever they want. This innovative project offers a multitude of services ranging from hygienic and comfort care (toilet, footbath, etc.) to technical nursing care (glycemia, perfusion, etc.) until then consultation with general medicine, specialist, physiotherapy, midwife, etc. . This is a first in Mali.
A real network of healthcare professionals, committed to refocusing the patient at the heart of care, providing them with the best possible care at the lowest cost, while allowing them to stay in their usual comfort. Launching this project in their country of origin is a dream come true for the two women. They spent all their long holidays in Mali. Each time they felt the need to stay there but also and above all to participate in the development of this country.
“WE BOTH EVERYONE WOULD LIKE TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE COUNTRY’S ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT. AND MORE PARTICULARLY IN THE HEALTHCARE AREA, BECOMING BOTH FROM THE MEDICAL SECTOR. ALSO HAVING LIVED EACH OF THE SPECIAL PERSONAL EXPERIENCES. ALL NATURALLY WE ARE ASSOCIATED TO SET UP THIS PROJECT AND MAKE IT TODAY THE FIRST HOME CARE COMPANY IN MALI. “EXPLAINS OUMOU CAMARA
At the start of the adventure, the two nurses set up this project with their own funds. It was then that they were able to benefit from a bank loan to perpetuate the service.
Since the conception of the project Oumou and Fatoumata see Santé Mobile as a company whose main objective is to complete the policy of restructuring and revitalizing the Malian health system. By contributing to it by pooling skills.
“MOBILE HEALTH” A CONCEPT THAT INCLUDES NEW TECHNOLOGIES
In addition to being a new concept for Malians, Santé Mobile is wonderfully illustrated by its innovative character. The service incorporates new technologies. This is a platform for booking appointments online. A mobile application with a geolocation system is made available to the patient, so that they can easily access their position.
Several payment methods are also available to the patient, including, of course, Orange Money in Mali, but also in France. Indeed, thanks to this money transfer application, payment for care can come from France.
EFFICIENCY AT THE HEART OF "SANTÉ MOBILE " ACTIONS
Indeed, the network of the organization and pooling of skills allow the company to meet demand and be extremely efficient. The idea here is to allow each patient to benefit from appropriate medical care at home with qualified staff and all the professionalism that this implies.
“WE ALSO DO NURSING TRAINING, FOR 3RD YEAR STUDENTS. WHICH WILL LEAD FOR SOME ON A PROFESSIONALIZATION CONTRACT ”
